This Privacy Policy explains how Social Media Rig ("Social Media Rig," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit socialmediarig.app, use our services, or contact us. Social Media Rig is an approval-first AI social media management platform for businesses and multi-brand operators.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, information generated when you use the service, and information from platforms you explicitly choose to connect.
- Account and contact information. Name, work email, company, role, and account credentials or authentication identifiers.
- Workspace content. Brand details, drafts, captions, media, comments, approvals, schedules, publishing history, and other content you submit.
- Connected platform information. Account identifiers, profile details, permissions, tokens, and content metadata made available by a third-party platform after you initiate and authorise a connection. We request only permissions needed for the features you use.
- Usage and device information. IP address, browser and device type, approximate location derived from IP, pages viewed, and event timestamps.
- Communications. Messages you send to us and records of support or access requests.
2. How we use information
- Provide, secure, maintain, and improve the service.
- Use AI features to help generate, transform, organise, or evaluate content at your direction.
- Route content through review and approval workflows and carry out scheduled publishing only after the permissions and approvals configured by you.
- Authenticate users, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and communicate about the service.
- Comply with law, enforce our agreements, and protect rights, safety, and security.
We do not use your connected social account credentials to access unrelated services. Social Media Rig does not claim that any third-party integration is approved, live, or available unless expressly stated in the product.
3. Your connected social accounts
You choose whether to connect a social account and must complete the third party's authorisation flow. You may disconnect an account or revoke permissions through the third party or, where available, your Social Media Rig workspace. You retain control over your accounts and publishing. Social Media Rig will not intentionally publish content to a connected account without the authorisation and workflow settings you configure, including any required approval.
Third-party platforms, including TikTok, independently control their APIs, policies, data practices, and availability. Their terms and privacy policies apply to your use of those platforms. We are not responsible for a platform's actions, outages, review decisions, or changes to its API.
4. Sharing and disclosure
We may share information with service providers that host, secure, analyse, or support the service; with connected platforms when you direct us to do so; in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets; or when required by law or necessary to protect rights and safety. We do not sell personal information.
5. Retention and security
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We use administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards designed to protect information, but no system is completely secure.
6. Your choices and rights
You may access, correct, export, or delete information associated with your account, subject to legal and operational limits. You may opt out of non-essential marketing messages. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to object to or restrict processing. Contact us to make a request; we may verify your identity before completing it.
7. Children
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this Policy from time to time by posting a revised version. For privacy questions or requests, contact us through the contact method provided in your Social Media Rig account or at the support address associated with this website.
